Rachel Watkins

Elderflower Farm, Kalbar

One of the best jobs on the farm is going out into the flower rows, picking a gorgeous bucket of blooms, then creating something beautiful with them. I love sharing my obsession with all things flowers!

Rachel Watkins is living the country escape dream.

She and husband Fred, a renowned horse trainer, moved to the Scenic Rim from WA in 2015.

She says it immediately felt like home and it's the place that has allowed her to follow her long-held dream to grow and arrange flowers.

Rachel is a trained horticulturalist who completed her floristry qualifications and decided to marry the two.

In 2020 she seized the day and planted her first crop of flowers on her property at Coochin, south of Boonah.

Her Elderflower Farm is a boutique farm and florist which specialises in heirloom blooms, grown in an open air setting.

Rachel follows sustainable principles and philosophies on her farm. She harvests daily and creates stunning bouquets for Scenic Rim Farm Box customers, filled with whatever is in bloom each week. She supplements her own flowers with other in-season varieties and foraged greenery.

We're thrilled to have Rachel as part of our Farm Box family and know you will love her creations as much as we do!
